Went to the new pain clinic today. As I expected he said he didn’t want me on this dose of Fentanyl but he said the wouldn’t just take me off which relieved me. He said I could try Lidocaine (local anaesthetic) IV infusions. One per week for 2 weeks then if it works every 6-8 months while reducing the Fentanyl.
Read a lot about it and it seems it doesn’t work well for severe chronic pain which mine is but I will try.
I do pass out with needles and this will last 2-3 hours! I have to get a lift home too which is hard when you don’t have any relatives.
Also been given Clonidine to help with the withdrawal I get while on the patches. Hopefully that helps.
